This lucky fucker taking a nap on the floor with two adorable hand-made scalemates was once climbing a fence, slipped on a wet slat (it had rained just the night before) and fell twisted on his back. He was lucky not to be completely winded from the fall, but get this: if he’d fallen even 3 inches to the left, he would hit a fencepost squarely in the small of his back on the way down, potentially doing major damage to his spine.

Instead all he got were some bruises on his hip and shins, and some grass stains on his pants.

And let’s not forget the time in 2006 he was in Budapest during the national riots in Hungary, and didn’t get hurt, threatened, or accosted at all. But that’s a story for another post.
